Series of 3 seminars, lead by Ron Timm (teacher workstudy program Kientalerhof)

Courses can be booked individually!

In this course we want to come deeply in touch with the phenomenon of Qi, understand its nature, follow its ways and connect with its wisdom. Through the intensity of 10 days dedicated practice and the support of the unspoiled nature surrounding Kientalerhof we will create a deep experience of relaxation and stillness making it possible for us to see our true nature.

Qi Gong is a Chinese term. In translation Qi is the energy of life or life force. Gong means work or practice. Basically Qi Gong means nothing more than to work with energy, to exercise the force of life. The human body is an energetical system that is run and even created by the Universal life force (qi). In fact all expressions of life are caused by the various motions of Qi. The natural flow of Qi through our body is what makes us alive and feeling healthy. In this sense Qi Gong (working with Qi) is the foundation for any kind of bodywork, therapeutic work and work with energy in general.

Within the Qi Gong classes we will first start with exercises that prepare the body for the Qi Gong experience. Then we will learn some positions of the Zhan Zhuang (Standing Qi Gong). Through long periods of standing the body starts to (re)align itself according to the universal principles. On the physical level the force that we will work with is gravity, on the energetical level it is the polarity of heaven and earth. We also will do two basic exercises that are known as the Heaven- and Earth Cycle. These exercises will support and amplify the effects of the standing practice connecting us to heaven and earth with and through our body.

By the study of the theoretical background of the Qi Gong system, participants will have a wide comprehension of the function and application of each exercise.

In its holistic way the practice of Qi Gong embraces all aspects of the human life and body like physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.
