Training biodynamic craniosacral therapy, level 2
The autonomic nervous system, its effect on the human being and biodynamic possibilities of regulationCourse contents
We will learn about the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) and its relationship to stillness and the primary forces. The biological regulation of emotions and stress are directed by the ANS. When it is in a chronic state of adaptation to stressful living conditions, then access to stillness, the breath of life, and its potency are weakened and they can no longer adequately develop their organizing power in the body. This can produce a variety of symptoms, physical and emotional, it can affect our ways of thinking, our relationships with other people and the world. The primary forces work in a self-organizing and self-regulating way when the skills and knowledge of the practitioner are in contact with them. The breath of life and potency are the basis for comprehensive health. Once the ANS is restored to its natural regulatory capacity, a dynamic state of equilibrium occurs. This is a stage of receptivity that opens the organism to a deeper healing potential and self-correcting phenomena.
We learn a model of healing that involves the whole person with their history. This model is based on the perception of a relationship between the breath of life, the body, the emotions, the thoughts and the environment of the person. The PRS is seen as a multi-layered unfolding of the breath of life that continues throughout the body.
We note in this process that all participants are well in their power, in touch with their resources and with the present moment. Healing happens in the present.
Participants will learn to recognize the signs of the ANS and first steps on how we as facilitators can support the regulation of such processes. They will understand the connections between brain and NVS. They will be given further tools for the linguistic accompaniment of therapeutic processes and for stimulating the client's own activity for his or her healing path.
- The autonomic nervous system, the effects of stress and trauma on the body and biodynamic possibilities of regulation
- The nerve cell and the threefold organized brain
- The anatomy and physiology of the autonomic nervous system (ANS)
- Recognizing external signs of the physiological dynamics of the ANS
- Relationships between frontal, parietal and temporal bones
- Resource-oriented therapies and exercises
- Deepening linguistic concepts that support body therapy
- Stimulating creative and playful processes as part of the healing journey
Course aims
The participants- are able to recognize the effects of stress in human physiology
- do linguistic exercises with each other to activate resources
- have knowledge about the nerve cell and the threefold organized brain
- know the anatomy and physiology of the autonomic nervous system ANS
- know the three pathways of stress, (connective tissue, central nervous system, HPA axis) and the interaction of autonomic nervous system, immune system, endocrine system
- anatomy and physiology of the autonomic nervous system: the threefold organized ANS (parasympathetic, sympathetic, social nervous system)
- can recognize the external signs of an activated ANS
- learn methods to balance the ANS
- know the relationship between frontal, parietal and temporal bones
- experience the touching of the above mentioned cranial bones and exchange their experiences about it
- get first experience with the primary respiratory system, which can show up when the ANS is in balance
