Training biodynamic craniosacral therapy level 4 incl. repetition day basics 3

The ventricles, the neural tube, the cerebrospinal fluid system, the embryological development of the secondary midline. Essential aspects of the diencephalon, the limbic system, the thalamus and essential functions of the prefrontal cortex.

Course contents

In this course we delve into important structures of the brain and learn to make contact with them. We look at how the nervous system develops in the fluid world of the embryo, we understand that neural pathways can be viewed as flows to and from organs. Subtle approaches to communicating with the fluid world are taught. We learn to offer the system ways to heal itself, to access its inherent healing plan. Additional attention is given to the therapeutic role of stillness, awareness and induction of still points. Students will learn the classical concepts of CV4 and EV4 in a biodynamic way and practice their practical application.

Another point is the deepening of the resource-oriented regulation of hyper- and hypo-states in the autonomic nervous system. We deal with the embryological development of the neural tube as a secondary midline and the unfolding of the cranial nerves. We learn about the psychosomatic concept of the body ego, which provides an explanatory model for many of the systemic clinical pictures and emotional disorders we deal with in practice.

We look at the concept of embryological developmental movements, formulated in its basic form by the German embryologist Dr. Erich Blechschmidt, and how we can sense this in the adult body and make it part of our therapeutic practice.

Participants will deepen their knowledge of the structure of the nervous system and its connection to the biodynamic cranio-sacral concept. We learn the basics of how to study the living anatomy of the human being anatomically, functionally and phenomenologically.

  • The body ego and the primary emotions as the basis for the emergence of symptoms in the organism of a human being
  • The limbic system and its importance for emotions, memory and learning
  • The ventricular system and its connection to the brain
  • Ignition, kindling
  • Introduction to the concept of the eight diaphragms and their fascial connection with the structures of the body
  • The embryological development of the neural tube
  • Brain development in embryology
  • Pituitary gland and hormone production
  • Stimulating communication with tissues and fluids
  • First contact with embryological developmental movements in the human body

Course objectives

The participants
  • Learn the concept of the body ego and a concept of early emotional development of the infant
  • Do linguistic exercises with each other, following client conversations
  • Know the limbic system and its importance for emotions, memory and learning
  • Recognize in themselves and others reactions that have "limbic colorations"
  • Can describe and explain the importance of the limbic system
  • Make initial transfers of knowledge about the limbic system and ANS into their exercise practice
  • Know the ventricular system and its connections to structures of the diencephalon
  • Apply knowledge about the ventricular system in their practice
  • Know the eight diaphragms and manage the transfer of theory to practice
  • Have knowledge of the embryological development of the neural tube
