Training biodynamic craniosacral therapy level 7 incl. repetition day 6

The primary midline, dynamic stillness and the spine. Mythological consideration of the tree as an expression of different ideas of man about the origin of life in the creation stories of mankind.

Course content

The transformation of stillness through the impulse of the breath of life to form and function of the body manifests along the midline of the embryo, which in embryology is called the chorda dorsalis. It represents and organizes our spatial and temporal arrangement in the world. This is an elementary function of the breath of life. The midline is first a function and then also a dynamic structure around which the whole human being develops. This dynamic of creation is perceptible throughout our lives in our bodies. We will practice palpating the different qualities of the midline and in this context further explore the concept of the inherent healing plan as conceived in its basic features by Dr. Rollin BECKER. Exercises are offered with the help of which we can support the unfolding of the inherent healing plan.

We look structurally at essential aspects of the spine, the intervertebral discs and their relationship to surrounding structures, especially the diaphragms.

We sense the breath of life throughout the body and learn to look at how the breath of life independently regulates structures in the human organism. This requires the therapist to be present and to shift the perception to the origin, to the process of creation in the moment. We practice contact with Dynamic Stillness and its first form of expression, the Breath of Life. Dr. Sutherland responded with the biblical quote "Be still and know" when asked how to make contact with the Breath of Life. Conscious awareness of space, stillness, silence, still points are signs of change in the primary respiratory system.

This process also means a confrontation with the activity of our rational ego, which generally drives us to act. This aspect of our consciousness is generally strongly influenced by the largely subconscious effects of our ANS (Autonomic Nervous System), which often also carries unconscious patterns of stress and trauma that influence the way we act. We learn to recognize signs in depth and practice further in regulating these activations.

We look at ritual aspects of healing. In this context we look at and practice shamanistically inspired healing principles. We recognize that modern medicine can also use the power of conscious ritual action and that healing processes can thereby take on a spiritual dimension.

The participants deal with the image of the midline. We look at the embryological development of the midline and laterality in the human body and its significance for the therapeutic process.

  • The mythology of the midline and physical correspondences
  • Embryological development of the primary midline
  • The differentiation of the primary and secondary midline
  • Deepening of the levels of perception
  • Embryology: somite formation, paraxial mesoderm and the segmentation of the spinal column
  • Resource oriented handling of emotional processes
  • The dynamics of potency in its relation to the primary midline
  • The hypno-systemic concept of the therapeutic process
  • ritual aspects of "illness" (crisis, transformation) and healing

Course aims

The participants
  • Know myths about the midline and can also relate them to specific physical phenomena and dynamics of recovery processes
  • Know the two most important bodily midlines: the primary midline, called the chorda dorsalis, and the secondary midline, the neural tube
  • Can differentiate the two mentioned midlines and palpate their specific qualities
  • Can establish a relationship between the embryonic forms of the midlines and their expression in adult bodies
  • Work with this concept of midlines
  • Know and understand the appearance of the somites, paraxial mesoderm, and the rhythmicity of the spine
  • Deepen their knowledge of the four levels of perception in the body and in the energy fields of the human body in theory and practice
  • Consolidate their contact with the breath of life
  • Look at ritual aspects of the healing process, get to know and apply the 5-step concept of the "Ritual of Biodynamic Healing"
  • Deepen the conscious use of the pre-frontal cortex and training of mindfulness for the regulation of stress phenomena in the treatments
  • Deepen verbal skills and practice the ability to work with resources
  • Know aspects of the hypnosystemic concept useful for craniosacral therapy and use them in the therapeutic process
