The European Shiatsu Congress returns to ist place of origin in the Kiental in Switzerland in 2023, after two very successful excursions to the metropolises of Vienna and Amsterdam.
The Kientalerhof as a congress venue, surrounded by powerful nature, offers the best conditions to strengthen oneself, to engage in Shiatsu and new encounters and to be inspired by a large number of European and Japanese teachers and to dive with them into the diversity of the congress theme 'Shiatsu - Mirror of Being'.
What makes and shapes the congress location very special is the experience of community in exchange on the campus around the Kientalerhof; meeting each other in workshops, during meals together, during walks and in the accommodations, embedded in the unique mountain landscape of the Bernese Oberland.
The setting of this beautiful alpine landscape has inspired us to offer a resource day, which will take place one day before the start of the congress on 14.9. and is optional.
The offer includes guided hikes, nature coaching, visiting the nature farm with an introduction to the permaculture practiced there, exploring herbs, calligraphy, Butoh, mindfulness offerings, as well as meditation and Qi Gong, to simply taking space and time for yourself or spending time with friends from near and far in this special place. A relaxing yet energizing introduction to three rich days of congress. Arriving on the outside and reflecting on the inner nature.
Experience also shows that after a congress there is often a great desire to let the fullness of the days continue and end with friends and colleagues. For this, the Kientalerhof on 18.09.2023 also offers the possibility to stay, to meet, to exchange experiences and treatments, to enjoy nature and the surroundings and thus a relaxed journey home. Shiatsu - Mirror of Being
We are exploring many a question about our own inner attitude at this congress and this time we would like to focus on the practitioners themselves:What is our inner attitude when we give Shiatsu? What is available to us to develop this further and to unfold more and more in our being? How can we further refine our perception of what is essential and also remain in self-care?
Our own inner attitude shapes the outer one. This relates to ourselves and to how our treatment works. In Shiatsu we may be using different techniques and approaches, and yet the art of touch is at the forefront for all of us. We touch the whole person, life and thereby of course our own life. No matter with what small or big concern people come to us - what silent longing or suffering we encounter - it is always a form of being, a being, that shows itself to us. As practitioners we experience, witness and reflect this. First and foremost, it is a matter of acknowledging what is right now and to meet this being with interest and openness.
This and much more we want to discover together with you in the multi-layered days and encounters.
We are very happy that we could win a large number of Shiatsu teachers from all over Europe for this topic and we are very excited about their contributions and impulses.
The complete program develops with the teachers and with us as organizers. At the congress this development continues - with you as a participant. We are all on the way with our own enthusiasm as practitioners with Shiatsu on many, partly different and complementary ways. Exchange on many levels: recognizing yourself in the mirror of being - with Shiatsu.
The six of us in the organizing team, experienced teachers and practitioners, are from Switzerland and Germany. We are supported by the team and knowhow of the Kientalerhof and by many helpers from all over Europe.
The coming year will be particularly exciting for us: what will emerge when almost 30 Shiatsu teachers enter into an exchange on this topic? What will emerge from this for European Shiatsu? It will certainly be a diverse, stimulating and inviting program for this 7th European Shiatsu Congress.
